AA have been having a good season to date, standing just a few points off of league leaders CA. EW are in the relegation zone at the moment, and were desperate to win. The Warrens played a clever tactical move in this one – the lesser used OFF. Unfortunately for the away side, their performance levels were severely hindered as AA played ZD, and EW had two men sent off – after 12 and 58 minutes. This meant AA cruised to victory – Pulmao showing what a good player he is.

They are in fantastic form, and NW, who are gradually picking up after a less than great start to the season, just didn't have the capacity to cope with the counter attacking thrusts that came time and time again on their goal. Not that Noshaki didn't do well – Mike can be proud of his team's ZD display – but no points this week. NW are still bottom of the table, and need to kick on once again.

Apocs played their usual formation and tactic … and … eer FI guessed that AP would play their usual style and tactic. This gave the home side the advantage, and although Coutinho played well, he could not stop enough shots to stem the flow. FI move clear of AP in the yellow zone.

JG are another side in great form, and had an outside shot at the league before this game. TH are not champions for nothing, mind you. In a gruelling game, which saw two sending offs and a number of bookings, they had just enough in the tank to see off their upwardly mobile opponents. Mark is a great boss, and his use of OFF, together with marking, gave him that extra oommpphh to take a slight EMP lead win the game by the narrowest of margins. Had DS Tarrant stayed on the pitch a little longer for the away side, this game could have ended as a draw. But sometimes the dice roles in your favour – and sometimes it leaves you high and dry.

LU and IQ were locked on 13 points before this game – with LU just in the drop zone, and IQ just out of it. So surely we would see big NSL and big EMP. Too right! Both sides produced the kind of display that makes you wonder why these teams are in such a mess. LU, in particular, EMPed over 140 (!) with the aid of a grudge, and this gave a good performance gap to IQ, and 18 shots. The Quartiles keeper played very well, and kept the game respectable – but that's all. The teams swap places. It's all getting very interesting at the bottom.
