AA BOSS KEEPS TEAM IN FOR EXTRA TRAINING

AS TITLE DREAM FADES

But the beer ban just won’t wash!

Let’s be honest, no one expected AA to mount any sort of title challenge this season.  In all honesty, AA should be where EW are.  The Alclies players deserve medals for what they have achieved this season – but that’s what makes what happened last week all the more gauling.

For the loss to IQ almost sealed up the coffin on AA’s title charge, and leaves CA with every chance of league glory – especially with all those Dutch managers on his side, just waiting to help Ivo out J.

It was a loss that Foss found hard to explain:

“AA have come through bigger teams than IQ to get to where we are this season, so I just cannot comprehend what happened out there”.

“The players certainly will have felt my rath this week.  The players are in for extra training, and even more difficult for the lads, they are to stay off the booze for the next 24 hours”.

This was a ration that proved too difficult for some of the AA lads to keep to.  In fact, Pumlao and Altercapio were seem tying the manager up at mid-day just do jump into what looked like a beer bath.  Altercapio continues the story:

“The manager’s drink restriction was too much to ask for.  We only came to this club because we knew we were allowed to get pissed every day.  Anyway, we thought that if we can’t drink it, we may as well relax in the stuff.  So we did”.*

So popular was the move, that AA are now installing lager-filled showers in the training room – with the squad under strict instructions to use the facilities before the game.  Well … the players do tend to perform better legless!

* Bart was known to be making a bee-hive for AA’s training ground when he found out this news.

Things seem to be swinging back to normal in SAEFL  Only 4 red card this week in Div 1, but there were 8 yellow cards.  I again benefit from a red card to my opponent.  I agree that it would most likely have been a draw if the ejection hadn't happened, especially so early in the game!

I can probably just cut and paste my comments from last game.  What a game!  Only 2 shots, but by different players.  And both going into the net!  A 100% strike rate for both Wambach and Carvalho!  We clearly had the better keeper but he wasn't tested by  AA.

After this week 2 to go, who will win season 11? After last week I think TB has still a good chance, we must win three times, CA and AA

have to spoil again points! Lets predict a few of the games that will be run this week by our beloved commish, always full of advice,

never talks too much, or bragging, or making jokes about other people behind their backs.

AA  vs.  JG

See, what will Bart play this week in a awaygame, in a week where he will watch out to damage his stars because next week he must play in

in the cupmidweek. Will he spare his players, I really doubt it. Looking back y see that Bart loves taking risk, so why not fielding for two weeks your

best team. Playing strong against CA, stronger against TB and we hope furious play against AA. AA loses, at home, because Nathan thinks that

Bart us normal, and resting his players. Nathan, wake up, the guy is hopeless, thats why we love him so much!

CA  vs.  EW

nr 1 against nr 12, and EW in a away match with a positive moral, yes, Simon grudged himself three points against FI last week.

Question is, has EW still grudges left (must get back to the habit making notes of it), boosts? and will they use it against nr 1? But does it matter

We all know the respected manager Kroon as a well informed man, every week we see the offspring of that in the comments. So Ivo will not underestimate EW,

a balanced CP will give them the points they need. And with AA's loss of points this week, its TB poking in CA's back, because,

TB  vs.  IQ

without a doubt a victory for TB, homematch, strong ZD play, 3-0! That is, if they wont play a grudge! Like I said, who is counting, and publish those cards

next season?

DIVISION 2

Adirondak Renegades

Adirondak Press (AP): Another step towards the playoffs with an away victory over MR.

Manager Fulmer (MF): I hope to the playoffs. At least it was a very nice step in the right direction.

AP: AR are now 5th with only 3 matches remaining.

MF: 5th, but only one point above 6th place TJ. The important part is we are 4 points above DS. DS has a tough match against ES this week which could help us. We play the always interesting SH. They are a young side that is developing well. While they are not a finished product, their youthful enthusiasm and Len’s unpredictability in tactics should make for a very interesting match.

AP: 23 yo AM GoodmanJr had another outstanding match against MR, with 3 goals in 4 chances.

MF: He has been fantastic since joining our top 11 midway through the season. Another youngster, 21 yo GK Evans was also very strong saving 5 of 6 shots.

AP: AR’s AMs have been playing very well, individually and together.

MF: Our AMs are the heart of our team. In addition to young GoodmanJr., we have ShivuteJr who is currently ranked as the SAEFL #5 Midfielder and #13 player overall, and Mitreski, besides being our captain, is #15 in scoring in Div 2.

AP: Is your team pretty well set for next season?

MF: In some areas, absolutely. We have a great group of AM and WH that will give us a very strong ONE side. AR management are currently doing a very thorough evaluation of both our defense and alternate tactics. While nothing has been decided, there may be some personnel and tactical changes in this area.

AP: Does that mean that AR will be active in offseason trading?

Being in third place in Division Two is a pretty big surprise after our start to the season.  We do have a chance to reach second place before the end of the regular season but it is a pretty slim chance.  All we can do is win the rest of our games and then wait and see what everyone else does.  We barely won last week but we were resting several players (which is why we played the boost) so getting the three points was a good thing.  This week we play MR and played another boost to hopefully ensure us a win especially becuse we are not resting as many players.  Either way, we should at least make the playoffs so we are just going to try and get as many points as we can and then see what happens.

Stannington Historical

It is going to be an interesting final 3 matches for SH as they end the season knowing they are going to D-3. SH plays AR, DS, and TJ...all teams that are in contention for the final couple of playoff spots.

Manager Lear emphatically stated,"SH is not going to roll over and play dead. We want to be the "you know what disturbers"  going down the home stretch. " Lear added,"We want to make life miserable for these teams just to prove that we can do it. Besides, it is going to be good experience for our Kiddie's Corp."

The Jazz

The Jazz have now lost three games in a row and are in danger of missing out on a play off spot, so with 3 games to go with MR away and SH at home . TJ face a tough game at home to EU who are in pole postion for 2nd place, so with a big crowd hopefully turning up at Toon City TJ will be making the most of the home tie and hope for 3 points.

DIVISION 3

Adelaide Kickers

After a week off last week, the manager is back.

Playoffs are now out of reach so it is just a matter of finishing as high as possible to get as much prize money as possible.

Good luck for those teams that are still in the playoff hunt.

Blue Storm FC

What a great week last leek. Wayne United seems to have it all together. Coach Banfield is very happy with the progress of his team. This weeks match be an interesting one. The Coaches and Managers are looking to see if they can make this winning streak sustainable

See you in the stands

Defrosted TunaFish

How do you feel after last week’s game?

DT : Our first loss at home…well, it was bound to happen - was a good game, unfortunately that Ojimbo was sent off and that he will miss next weeks game- was a great game! Well done to BlueStorm FC

Press : So with the loss and the win for FU, the gap has now closed to 5 points. Any feeling towards that?

DT : The pressure is definitely setting in now, after that hard week of games we had, most of the first team players have to rest now - and with the suspension of ojimbo we are now under even more pressure

Press : and that u are now on a low morale and playing away next week, so the home advantage is not in ur favor

DT : :) so we got an away game, a negative morale and our top players are out of action - well, all I can say is Thanks to DV for beating Falcons (no offense to FA) but with them also on a low morale we have a slightly better chance now - but still will be a very tough game

Press : I see ur new players played a good game for you? Are u happy with their performance?

DT : very happy about Mint performing, should get better with age and as for Alidare and Redknapp - well, age aint slowed them down that much - so they still a great help to the team especially so close to the end of the season

Press : Well, to conclude the interview - we looking at the league leaders on the back foot here - after having a good 13 weeks undefeated in the league - their good run has come to an end, will this be the chance that FU need to grab the title away from DT, with only 5 points ahead of FU and a possible 9 points left, DT have to win at least one more game to ensure they achieve the gold, granted that FU win their remaining games!

DT : :) well, good luck to all, we are happy that we have definitely qualified for DIV 2, so- we might play a few chances in the next few games and try out different players

Falcons

Slipped into the red by the point we thought we would last week and
so we will need a special effort to beat DT at home this week.

Fanatics United

Kiss my ass, thats for DV. Watch your ass, thats for DT. If DT loses two games, don't think they will, but if they do, I will win the league. DV sorry but if I win one game you cannont over take me, and my position is 1st or 2nd.

I am going to be very happy with second.. :D

Like I said before, I beat the one team I wanted to, twice, and I am happy.

Fantastic eleven

If we loose this match Peter need to have a relook at his program :-). Because then something is wrong
