Our first match is the match of the week in Division 2, athough there will be several other very inportant ones. LU is leading Division 2, while AR is 1 point back, tied with PN for second. AR decided it was time to make a move for the top position and played a grudge on top of the home advantage. LU countered AR's expected ONE with CP tactics, but were not able to stop AR's attack. AR GK must have been flirting with some women in the stands as he did not bother to save many shots, but his team mates worked hard enough to create 34 chances and finish 17 on them. AR moves to the top of the table for the first time in what has probably been a very long time, although PN way well share it with them. LU is only 2 pts hehind and there is plenty of time remaining.

Two more teams solidly in the title hunt meet in Quantum Stadium. EW was only 3 points behind leader LU, who as we have seen lost this week. DS was only 4 points back. EW made their move to stay in the leader group by playing a grudge on top of an attacking long ball. The results were not exciting, but EW got a solid away win and 3 important points. DS has been in a bit of a bad spell lately, but they are still in a playoff position. They do have to start to watch out as teams such as DT and ES are moving up.

PN went into the Dome of the Oaks with a chance to move into a tie for the top position, while OC has been making a move to get out of relegation danger. PN played a strong attacking WP (no surprise there) and managed 35 shots and 19 goals. However, PNs weakness at GK showed in this match as Perkins saved only 9 of 30 shots. Gross being sent off certainly didn't help PN, but GK Perkins is still the Villan in this drama. PN misses out on a chance to move into the top spot, but they are still in a very strong position with a lot of season left to go. OC appeared to be fighting to avoid relegation but they are now making a run at a playoff spot along with the teams previously mentioned. They are going to help make the second half of the season very interesting.

A few weeks ago it appeared that the top teams in Division 2 had separated themselves from the bottom 6. This match officially put an end to that nonsense. ES has definitely righted themselves lately, and actually pass FU and move into a playoff spot with this victory. FU tried to hold onto their playoff spot and used a boost to coutnter ESs home advantage. DM Ogres did not help FU at all when he was sent off in the 38th minute, but there are plenty of good and bad breaks for all sides during the long SAEFL season. ES has a slim hold on a playoff spot and there is a lot of season remaining, but they should be very encouraged by their much improved recent play and strong move up the table. Plus, a playoff spot is a plsyoff spot.

NH and DV are 2 teams currently tied with each other in the relegation zone, although they are both very close to moving up out of it. NH realized the importance of the match and played a boost. I'm sure DV a\lso considered the match as important, but AS Palmer decided DV should play most of the match will only 10 men as he took his leave in the 37th minute. The result was a match that was very close, at least in shots and EMP. DV GK Marcellus-I had a very strong match which resulted in a pretty large difference in the final score and made sure DV gained the points.
