Damn! We barely allowed a single shot and NW managed to score it... That's football... we lose an important point and Mike put some pressure on everyone in the mid table...

Grammar United

InterQuartile Rangers

What a boring game!!!  No shots and therefore no goals.  It's the kind of game that gives soccer a bad name.  And it keeps us floating in mid table.

Mid-season aging approaches.  It remains to be seen if it helps us as much as mid-season agining helped us last year.  It may be too little too late since we're out of the Cup and the Inter-EFL series.  Not much left to work on.

DIVISION 2

Adirondak Renegades

Adirondak Press (AP): We have been talking about a stretch of 4 matches against the top Division 2 teams. AR drew against EW this week, so that makes 3 wins and a draw over that period. Satisfied?

Manager Fulmer (MF): Yes. Against that competition, definitely. We started the those 4 games 3 points behind 3 different teams, and are now on top, so it was a successful stretch.

AP: How about last weeks match, the draw against contender EW?

MF: It was probably the most interesting match of the bunch, although at 0-0 its hard to say it was the most exciting. Simon started by playing a very effective MM tactic. AR hasn't finished building our alternate tactic, so MM was an excellent choice. I thought Simon might try it, and felt we had enough strength to withstand it, but then Ittemik got sent off in the first minute. EW took 3 shots, but GK Evans was fantastic and saved them all. Then, we were awarded a penalty which EW GK Costanzo saved.

AP: So, AR was unlucky that Ittemik was sent off in the first minute, EW was unlucky that AR GK Evans saved all 3 shots, and AR was unlucky that WE GK Costanzo saved a penalty.

MF: Something like that. So, I guess after all was said and dione, a draw was probably a fair result, although we found a strange way of gertting there.

AP: Mid season is coming up after one more match. What do you see for AR the second half?

MF: AR still has a pretty young side. 36 players are age 26 or younger, so we expect to continue to improve. With the improvement of our young players and a lot of solid depth, I expect AR to be in the title hunt all of the way. Of course, I think we will have plenty of company.

So… im out of the cup… pretty dissapointed at that -

thought that I could hold off with a TC strat and hold on to that lead I had while still resting 6 of my key players…

but nope - didn’t work! And now im stuck with out a trophy a to try win this season! well done to NoShaki :)

good game and good luck for the est of the season! as for me, main aim to to get a good agin.... i really need one and try stay in div2 :)

So lets hope i get a decent aging and then get some great trading going :)

oh yeah... its also time to see if that GK i bought in the first week of the season for 799k pays off now :) hoorah!!!

Port of Napier AFC

Well we won last week and this is the last week before midseason aging so hopefully we will win it too.  We are in second place now and hopefully a win will leave us in that spot.

DIVISION 3

Adelaide Kickers

African Selection

Son of a Gun! We were so unlucky to not take the three points from SG this past week. What a barn burner!!!! 5 shots, no goals....looks like yet again we need to practice our shooting in practice this week.

Now we host the first leg of the Season 12 Canada Cup as Len brings Stannington Historical to Liberation Park to play the Selects. If I remember correctly, we won last season's Canada Cup, however I am not so confident this time out. We will be playing OFF to try and tire out the front 5 for Stannington.

Aros VSK

Blue Storm FC

Falcons

True to form we win our cup game and go out on the away goals rule and then we play most of our match against the league leaders with 10 men and get a royal thumping. We are definitely not having any luck this season. This week sees us travel away to AK who are sitting comfortably in mid table and we hope to give a decent account of ourselves. Hopefully our midseason aging will be good and we won’t be in worse off position than what we are now.

Coach has given J.Trulli a chance to captain the side again. The owners have indicated to the manager that he needs to start looking for more players in strategic positions. The team is determined to improve on last weeks performance.

Stannington Historical

SH is rolling right along. Manager Lear stated,"I didn't think our lads would be in 1st place at this stage of the season. However, everyone is playing to the best of their ability, thus allowing us to maintain our frontrunner position. I am worried about whether or not we can keep our position in the standings especially with aging just around the corner.

You never know what can happen with aging. This is why SH is not taking any chances against AS in this week's match. We intend to maintain our undefeated position and our 1st place status."

Good Game BS - guess I was a bit lucky to get the draw to be honest , having a 7 GK! Had to rest some players! Next game shoul dbe a good one! Good luck
