Interesting aging for FI, with good defensive developments! As a consequence

we have great players like DS S. Clause age 25 NSL 10 available to trade.

Anyone?

Another boring game, but for completely different reasons.  We knew it would be a tough game, but didn't think it would be that bad!  So I figure, mid-season aging makes it a guessing game for a week or two.  I might surprise someone, so why not try a grudge?  Frankly, aging didn't help us, or hurt us.  The overall NSL improves, but it's increasing spread out.  For a real team that's good.  In SAEFL you need the NSL concentrated in bonus positions.  We'll have to see how it goes.

TB's aging was not a bad one. Last few seasons we invested a couple of million in new players and its paying ooff now. Too bad the gap between us and the leaders is that big. Powerhouse JG is considered the main candidate for the title, we aproach every game like a cupfinal, trying to give all those teams a terrrible time, well, lets see what GU did at the aging?

Position Available

AR/BW are looking for a GK coach. While Manager Fulmer has done a fairly good job managing AR and BW, with AR currently one point from the lead in SAEFL Div 2 and BW tied for the top spot in DESL, he absolutely sucks at handling GKs. Several times management of the two teams have traded for good, young GK. Fulmer didn't have to improve their skills, he just had to keep them at they same level as when they were given to him. He has repeatedly failed miserably. He also doesn't write very well. For example, the following GK have deteriorated at a very young age:

BW

D Brendt 23 10.0 dropped to 1.0

Send Mail 23 10.0 dropped .5

AR

R Maida 22 9.75 - dropped .75

And now this session, M Jardim 24 9.5 dropped .5

Fulmer obviously doesn't know how to develop young GK either as A Frajnlich 22 6.5 didn't change

Management obviously doesn't want Fulmer hiring the GK coach since he knows nothing about it. Therefore, we are going to let the experienced and esteemed Mr. Lathouwers handle the hiring. If you are interested in the position, send an e-mail with your qualifications to Bart at

so my GK is paying off :) great news for me I guess…

otherwise a terrible agin I would say, my ATT hhas suffered big time and now im in desperate need of some ATT force…

so lets hope the trading is good to me! Drew my game last week, no problem, we'll have to see how the other teams did wwith their aging -

we only half way thru the season right now and there so many more games to be played!

Unless of course some one wants to sponser me their Freak CF :)

So this is the beginning of the second half of the season.  And we get to start it in first place, which is a very good thing.  The bad thing is that we are only in first place by one point.  Hopefully we can win this week and keep our lead.  We play the same team again and we won last time so hopefully we can pull off another win.  Midseason aging was fairly nice to us.  It was not great but we should be able to survive and make a good run for first place in Division 2.

DIVISION 3

Adelaide Kickers

SB:  Mid-Season Aging has just happened, how did it go?

DT:  It went pretty well.  The youngsters improved excedingly well and may even play a few games before the end of the season.  Some of the senior players improved also while most either stayed the same or dropped slightly.

SB:  So the playoff push is a real possibility then?

DT: Absolutely.  Of course we will have to see how the other teams improved also.  We weren't the only side lucky enough to have a good aging.  It is something of an unknown though for the next couple of weeks to see how the others went.

SB:  There are reports of the Kickers trying to get in some more players though.

DT:  There is always room for more players should the right offer come along.  I have not hidden the fact that we need a decent keeper.  If we had a better keeper then we would be higher up the table and I would've used different tactics in the cup against AA by going more attacking against their very defensive team.  But no use crying over spilt milk.

SB:  This week sees the Kickers up against FA.  How do you see the game going?

DT:  We lost at home to them last week so payback is on offer.  They are sitting bottom and we need to make sure they stay there.  After having an interrupted mid-season managerially, I should have no more interruptions to the preperation of the team for each game.

SB:  About last week though.  FA won 10-0 at Kicker Field.

DT:  Last week I was unable to be there for the match.  The assistant decided to rest some of the key players for the second half push.  Not necessarily a bad thing.  Sure the 3 points would have had us in that playoff sopt but this week look out.  We are like a scorned woman this week and as they say "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

SB:  Thanks for your time David and good to have you back in control.

DT:  Thanks Steph and it's good to be back.

African Selection

Ouch!

Albers sent off in the 4th minute.

Ouch!

Lose by 2 goals.

Ouch!

SG NMRs this week after holding us to a draw last week!

OUCH!!!

So we only take 1 point from a possible 6 with the top two teams in the league. We could easily have had 6. Oh well, you have to be lucky to be good and good to be lucky.

So SH wins the first leg of this season's Canada Cup. Congrats Len.

This week we have a little bit of a wrinkle due to the aging of the team.

Ok, no we don't really have any new wrinkles (some of the older ones have a few more wrinkles). We did have some interesting agings however. The team is up a total of 6 nsl which is good to see. Hopefully we can make some headway in the table.

This week we have the African Selection debut of Kristianssen with the defence of of the Selects. He was acquired earlier this season from FI with Maldade for midfielder Holt.

With any luck we will win this leg and the Canada Cup. Too bad there is now money involved.

A rare away win sees us grab a valuable 3 points away from home.

Maybe this is the start of something good. And now for something completely different - a new tactic. Lets see how the team responds to WP.
