And we are still in the cup!!! A very nervous 0-0 secured
our place in the semi-finals, after GK Zack marvelously saved a penalty! Now we
have 4 teams alive, and all of them seem to be really looking for the title.
Big games ahead! :) Let's wait for the draw now...
On the league, we face IQ and we expect them to put an
offensive ONE lineup.
The plan is to close spaces with TS and collect
another point. The relegation battle on div. 1 is still open and every small
advance is important!

I guess I'm losing interest in SAEFL. Earlier in the season I typed in the wrong
tactic. Now I play the #1 in the table
with only 10 players!
And don't mark while playing OFF. I guess the only good news is that Stansfield stumbbed his toe
running downfield. Stewart did turn in
another incredible performance shooting 100% again. I need to find a way to make more use of him!
With luck Marco will still be occupied with the cup
since he's still in it. Unfortunately,
he didn't play his ONE so he may still have something left for the league
game....

Press (AP): Great match, and an important win.
Manager
Fulmer (MF): Hey, we agree. That doesn't happen often. The battle with PN for
first place was all that I had hoped it would be, including the final result.
AP: AR had
a few good performances in that match.
MF: To beat
PN at Ayrton Senna we had
to have a lot of good performances. WH Ittemik
scoring 7 goals on 7 chances is a good place to start. Of course AM Swannson played fantastic.
AP: Newly
acquired AS Wislon really got ripped by his old club
this week. He was referred to as a cancer, which is not a compliment. He had 5
goals on 8 chances, so he must still be able to play.
MF: Man,
I'm really glad that SH got rid of him. Wilson and I had a good laugh at that.
It is true
AP;
Speaking of the battle for first, luck was on AR's
side this week. LU lost and EW drew.
MF: LU's luck has been unbelievably bad this season. We play
them in a couple of weeks, so I hope it continujes
for awhile longer :) In fact, we play DS, LU and EW the next 3 weeks, so the
win against PN was important but we still have a long way to go.

very luck
win last week, consider the diff in nsl to emp and all that - i am very
lucky, home game def did help me tehre! a win is a win i guess and 3 more oints secure my stay in div2 :) so thats
always a good thing
with all thet said and done, good luck in next game and hopfully i can get some good rest
of
some of my
players this week with a different style im playing -
TS - we'll see what DV plays :) always nice playign a
familiar team from
div2 :)

Well we lost last week so we are in second place
now. The game was pretty good and losing
to the first place team is really not that bad.
Being in second is good but we need to start winning again. This week we play the last place team but
they did win last week so there could be another upset. We are resting some players but hopefully not
too many so that we can still win. We
should stay in second place but if something weird happens with AR's game, we
could move up to be tied for first. On
the other hand, if we lose, we could move back to tied for fourth so hopefully
we will win.
DIVISION 3
SB: Good win last week David?
DT: We were lucky.
SB: Lucky?
In what way?
DT: They saw last week as a grudge game and were
at home. We also lost Dmitri Kochetkov in the first
minute which hindered our midfield. The
luck came when they were down to 9 men after 23 minutes.
SB: But still a 9-3 result shows that it wouldn't
have mattered that much right?
DT: Of course it means it mattered. We had 6 more shots than VA. Both goalies managed to save 8 shots a piece. Therefore those extra 6 shots equal the extra
6 goals.
SB: But looking at the save percentage, they
obviously wouldn't have scored on all 6 shots.
DT: Maybe not but look at the reality. The two players that were sent off conceded
13+ Emp not including the grudge
bonus. We only Emp'd 6 pts higher in the end so therefore they
should've had probably about 10 shots than they ended up having.
SB: Are you saying that they were better then.
DT: Of course given the circumstances. Are you really losing your senses? I stated earlier we were lucky and then you
asked why and gave the impression that we weren't, now your
basically saying that we played poorly and were lucky. I am now going to do anymore interviews with
you until you get your act together.
SB: But...
DT: No buts about it. You have been interviewing me badly for a
couple of weeks and I have finally had enough so no more interviews until you
decide to interview me like last season and even the first half this season.

Well, we
rested a lot of players against one of the bottom dwellers and we ended up with
a draw. Not great, but not bad either. It would be nice to have the two extra
points as there is quite a race down in Div 3!

Luckily we rested our first choice line up last week
as they wouldn't have stood a chance against the rather unnecessary grudge card
that was played by FE. This week sees us play yet another tough game against MR
who are a couple of league positions above us.
We don't want to
be in the relegation zone come league end and need to win a few games against
the top sides.
