This one of the most important matches of the season for FI. The team faces a surprising div. 3 side, TS, which managed to make it to the semi-finals of the cup. Well, surprising can be considered a not so appropriate adjective if you look at the team quality. TS can put very good EMP on field, and the

+5 morale bonus turns the team just as good as any division 1 side.

+Thus, a

very tough game is expected. Probably very few chances will be created and the team that takes the most of the opportunities will prevail. Let the games begin!

Grammar United

InterQuartile Rangers

Not much left for this season is avoiding relegation.  Since aging hasn't been successful for us the last few times, relegation might not be a bad idea to have a chance to regroup.  Of course, the inflation in SAEFL is really helping the top performing teams.  It's getting to be very difficult to buy anything.  For that matter, the prize money doesn't reward good managers since you'd have to win the title 2-3 times to afford just one player off the transfer list.

Two draws since new management has taken over at the club icontinues to keep NW in the relegation zone, but within the grasp of safety.  "2 points from a possible 6 is better then no points, but we have to start getting max points if we hope to survive", said manager Scimeca this week at training.  "The lads are continuing to work hard and give their all, but there are some gaps that are going to need to be filled during the off-season to ensure that we continue to have the depth to compete against the top clubs".

Ok, facing TH and you never know with Mark. I already told him to save grudges etc for his cupadventure, and I need this win, for AA next week and for the game against JG, yes, the grudgy one!

Adirondak Renegades

Adirondak Press (AP): An important win last week.

Manager Fulmer (MF): Definitely. We made it through our tough stretch against DT, PN, DS, LU and EW with 4 wins, and managed to stay on top of the table. I'm very happy with those results.

AP: What's next?

MF: Rest. Unfortunately some of our players need it too. The next couple of weeks will test AR's depth. I think we have very good depth, but they must now prove it on the pitch.

AP: The other top teams play each other this week, EW vs LU and PN ve DT.

MF: I've heard that rumor :)

AP: You have brought in a few very strong players in the last few weeks to help with the title chase. Are you done trading?

MF: The commish said I am done for the season so I am done. However, the off season is not far away :)

AP: Any players or positions in particular you will be looking for?

MF: I don't know yet. Division 1 will be new territory and I don't yet know how AR will stack up. I'll have to take a better look at possible trades after I assess Division 1 in the off season.

AP; So you will be in Division 1 next season.

MF: Thats the plan. Of course, there are still a few teams that will have something to say about that.

We got a nice win last week so we get to stay in second place.  This is good but we still have some tough games left and we have to win them.

This week, we play DT, who are five points behind us in the standings.  We should be able to win but to ensure that fact, we are playing a Grudge.

Hopefully, we will be able to win next week too and stay in second place for a little while longer.  Obviously, things could change and not go our way - we do have some experience with that (for the past two seasons, we have been in second place going into the end of the season and then lost in the very last games of the season and did not made it through the playoffs).  Seeing as the third time's the charm, we might have our best chance this year of finally getting promoted.  Either way, we need to win the game this week and then, hopefully, we will be on our way to winning the rest of our games, too.

DIVISION 3

Adelaide Kickers

African Selection

Unlucky last week against the Smoking Guns. The Selects thought they would try to take three points from the #2 side in Div 3, but instead we got blasted back to Liberation Park with our tails between our legs.

OOOPSS.

This week is a whole new story. The Selects host the #12 team in the Division. Normally you would think it would be a cake walk for such a talented team as the Selects. Unfortunately, the Falcons just had two weeks of rest as they played Smoking Guns and Stanni ngton Historical in each of the last two weeks. They were able to rest up their number 1 team, so they will come out swinging.

Hope you have a great week.
