Can we stop the season right now?  I'm going to be at the top of the table for long so I'd like to stop now.  I'll even split the first place money

36 ways if everyone agrees!

On the other I really don't want to be at the top of the table this early in the season.  Why don't you all just put bulleyes on the back of all my players.  It's a fluke!!  We aren't that good.  Save your cards and boosts for other more deserving teams....

There's so much going on this season I'm not sure what to focus on.  I guess the results of this week's game will help decide that.

Starting the season off with a loss how do you and ur players feel about Div2 ?

DT : :) well, never a good thing to start with a loss - but going against a top notch side is never an easy thing, we did feel that we did a decent job, playing away from home and against a boost but of course that means nothing at the end of the day :) loss is a loss and we hope we can make up for it in the near future

Press : Now that your youth players have arrived are you excited to see them in action on the field?

DT : definitly, we have a few great youngsters which hopefully will mature into great players for DT - and possibly bring us some great games

Press :  what are ur plans for DT for the future ?

DT : well,  mainly would like to build for the future, hopefully stay in Div 2 :p and gather some youngsters and grow them up . Definitly wont be an easy task but I would like to see DT in Div1  soon, not sure when tho

Press :  ur cup game is coming up next week - any feelings towards that?

DT : Hmmm, would like to do better in this seasons cup games, but we'll have to see how my players handle it - ill need them to be in top shape for the Div 2 games as this league is all a different ball game :) and we need new tactics and strats to get ahead here - but of course, a bit of luck never hurt :p

Commish must have taken away my comments from the previous game. The game will make me dicide if I want to go for the cup or not. It's World cup this season so some of my players will be used, so I might want the cup because it is less games.

We will see, have beating up a girl before, let see if I can do it again? :)

Lisbon United

A good start, a solid win. We will rest in the cup, our main focus is the league.

We think NW will play WP and so our Zd will help them a lot, but no problem let`s see what we can do.

Last week we got off to a fairly good start.  We played a team that had just relegated and we won so hopefully that means our team is at least somewhat good.  I still don't think we are as good as last year but we will just have to wait and see how we do in the upcoming weeks.  This week is a cup week and in the past we have focused on the season, not the cup.

So if we lose this week, our team will not be in tears because we do not have enough depth to take both seriously and the league is our number one priority.

DIVISION 3

Adelaide Kickers

Promising Signs

There were promising signs at home last week even though the Kickers lost their first game of the season at home.  The lack of a decent man in goals though is something that will be detrimental to the season though unless one can be brought into the club.  The attendance though was the best in the whole of Div 3 and that helps boost the club's finances.

This week sees the first cup game of the season against Alcoholics Anonymous.  They are one the best in the history of the SAEFL and this game will be no easy feat.  Being away also doesn't make things easier.

"This year the cup isn't going to be as special as it was last year.  The cup games are just a sideshow for us to experiment for things while we concentrate on the league.  Look for some unusual things in the cup for us this year," said manager David Thomas when asked.

The Kickers supporters group or the Bootmen as they like to call themselves, will be organising transport to all away games this season.  Should you wish to go to the games, you can go see them behind the goals at all home games or contact the club and we will put you in contact with them.  The more people that go the better as the lads can certainly do with the support.

The club is also on the lookout for someone else to take over the role of Addie the mascot when the previous person was arrested after the game last week for drink driving and reckless endangerment.  If you wish to become Addie, then contact the club for more information.

Keep on Kicking!

African Selection

An unfortunate tie to start the season. Let's see what we can do in the Cup against the Div 1 side. We expect WP so will counter with OFF.

Aros VSK

Interesting group in the cup for us. DT, AV and VA were all founded last season. Its time to see who has the development so far. CA clearly favorites to advance to round two of the cup. The rest of us fight for second place.

Blue Storm FC

Falcons

Keen let the side down last week and has been dropped from the squad to face MW in the cup. We are holding thumbs that a couple of our new signings have the necessary effect this week.
