A tie against GU isn't too bad.  I'm a little disappointed that he got all the shots, but these things happen.  It could be worse.  This week is one of those rare weeks this season, only a league game!  I almost don't know what to do.  We're still high in the table, but I'm not sure we deserve it.  Again, we'll have to wait and see.

The transfer lit is empty again!!  Man all that money building up and burning a hole in pockets.  Things are going to be expensive when players are finally on the list.

Anyway, here are the Div 1 stats:

TJ this week face another tough game away to AA, who last season finished in 2nd place. TJ still are awaiting they first win of the season and will be hoping for a little bit of luck to get our first win. Next weeks games are back to the cup group stages and with a lost already if TJ what to get through to the next round we will need a win against old div 2 opponents AS who are now in div 3.

First win of the season :)

DT : yeah, very happy about it, first points in Div2 :) so the season hasn’t started off too badly

Press : how do you feel about the game? Was it a bit of luck considering the opposition had 2 players sent off?

DT : that def did play a big part in the game, I mean 2 players less against 11 is a huge advantage for us and we had a home game - so I do consider DT lucky against ES - but then again, we ned all the luck we can get

Press : and how do you feel up against DS in an away game?

DT : well, we don’t know any of these teams - so they all going to be a learning curver for us - only thing we can do is stratergise our games better, keep our strong players rested for their games and of course try get more youth - like we mentioned before, the chances of winning the season in Div2 are against us, we dont thing we will win, but we want to stay here in div2 - so most likely we oging to rebuild the team :p

Press : great stuff - and regarding the cup games?

DT : well, that’s a different game all together, not sure if we can manage to try go for the cup seeing as we need our best 11 to start for most of the game sin div 2 - and there is the world cup and some of our players will be playing in them… so times look tough for DT but we'll manage :)

Press :  Thx and good luck :)

Soz to PN, but I did want to win the game. I see now it was just like a shoot out and I had the better goal keeper on the day. :)

Lets have some fun Oak-y, hope we have a great game.

Lisbon United

Two wins in a row for the league. We are very pleased, and at least until midseason aging

we think we can win some more games to gather important points.

SB: Good win last week?

DT: Yes.  The lads played well.  We thought it was going to be a tough game but we played well and came away with a narrow win.

SB:  This week sees you at home against Vitesse Arnhem.

DT: Yep.

SB:  Can we expect more of the same grit and determination as last week.

DT: Of course.  Will still be another tough game.  VA scored 15 goals at home last week but still lost.  As will be the case all season, their goalie is more rated than ours, so we need to apply pressure in the attacking half to restrict shots against our own goalies.

SB:  Having one of the bigger stadiums in division 3 should mean a nice crowd to come and support you.

DT:  Yes, we had many fans who travelled last week who didn't get into the ground.  Just shows how loyal they are travelling all that way and not being able to get in, yet also not complaining about it.

SB:  Their is a cup match after this week, are some players being rested to give a chance at winning the cup match.

DT: As I mentioned earlier in the year, the cup this year is a chance to experiment and play around with a few things.  We are more interested in playing well in the league.

SB: Thanks for your time David

DT: No problems Stephanie.

This interview was done just before training on Thursday Night and at training, Last week's goalkeeper, P. Statto, sprained his wrist and was removed from the team.  Let's get as many people to the game again this week and support the boys as they try and win their second game in a row.

Well, there was a bit of a steal in week 3 to offset the points stolen from the Selects in week 1. It was good to get an away victory over Blue Storm. Lodwar, Moyale and Hittingbricks all had 100% strike rates. Only Blitta sent one on target that was saved.

This week we host AV and we expect them to play their CP game, so we will try to set up a good counter to their game.

Having a look at the standings, it is nice to see that the two Canadians are in the top 6. That hasn't happened in seasons!!!

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend.
