Hi everyone!
Just a minor point. On week 11 we will see the semi-finals of the EFL
inter cup. In the way the table is designed the games, the winner of SAEFL
should meet the winner of DESL on the semifinals (if both win their first
games). I think that should be changed, saving a potential clash between the
winners of each league to the final game. What do you say?

InterQuartile Rangers
didn't mean to play MM.
So I screwed things up. The good
news if there is any is that he wasted a boost!
Hey, cut me some slack I need to find something positive after messing
things up.
There's too much going on this season. I can't decide where to place my priorities,
and I haven't even played in the Inter-EFL games yet! This week we load for bear. After the unexplicable
loss in the first cup round I need to save some face if nothing else. Well, I guess another positive point is 3
goals on 4 shots! And new acquisition Acimovic got his first goal for the Rangers.

Glad to
write some SAEFL press. TB needs the money and the commish
keeps giving overdraftbills, the man has no hart at
all! This week TB plays TH, two times, for the EFL cup
and for
the SAEFL cup. I really want playing a DESL site, so playing in the strongest
line-up with ZD tactic in the EFL, resting all key players in the SAEFL cup.
Next year the cup will be ours, letting it go for this year.

Press (AP): Well, that sucked. Again.
Manager
Fulmer (MF): So you get paid the big bucks to make insightful professional
journalistic statements like that.
AP: I was
commenting on the performance of a team you managed so I wanted to use small, simple
words. And get straight to the point. The point being, what is happening to AR
and what are you going to do about?
MF: What’s
happening is we are losing games we should win, and what I am going to do about
it is nothing, at least in public. I may have a few comments for certain
players behind closed doors, but they will stay behind closed doors.
AP: Would
GK M Jardim be one of those players?
MF: You
mean the SOB who saved only 7 of 29 shots? A blow-up doll dressed to look like
a GK would have done better. At least the ball would have hit the doll once in
awhile. Jardim looked like he was jumping out of the
way of the ball. Oops, I wasn’t going to criticize my players in public. You
aren’t going to print that, are you?
AP: Of
course not :)
AP: What
line-up changes are you planning to make? Will you go into the trade market?
MF: I don’t
think any changes need to be made. In week 3, we out shot our opponent 28-22,
but lost 11-8. Week 4, we out shot PN 36-29, but lost 22-21. We are playing
well on 90% of the field, we just need to finish a bit better and save a few
shots. Plus, AR has a lot of depth which will be important as the season goes
on. That being said, we are in the trade market for a defender, but we don’t
want to create another hole somewhere else to get one. Any defender I try and
get now would have to be someone who will help next year. In fact, that is a
higher priority than current help.
AP: This
week you have a cup match against AA.
MF: I
always look forward to playing AA, but the cup is not a high priority. We have
a lot of depth so AR can field a decent team, but we will not go all out to
win.

So
DT : well, lil nervous I would say, CA one of the strongest if not THE
strongest team in CA at the moment and challening
them right now is a very daunting task for DT - I would like o wish my players
a very good luck and hopefully they have a great game
Press :
any surprises for this game? And how are you wanting
to play it?
DT : not
too many surprises here, we would of course like the win - and we are playing a
strong team this week - we simply hoping that CA are not concentrating on the
Cup this season and hopfully they will want the
League and the EFL cup more than this cup... so mainy
we need some luck here :)
Press :
interesting theory there, so u are interested in the cup this season rather
than the league?
DT : I
would say so yeah, league win would be very hard to accomplish and we havnt had the best of starts to this season, so the cup
does look like our best bet - we not sure if we could even manage the win but
getting close to the finals / semi-finals would be great for DT
Press :
but u not leaving the league for open arms are you?
DT : not
at all, we want to stay in Div2 and hopfully build up
and get some youth back in to DT
press :
good luck :)
Deo Volente

Excelsior
The Excelsior Herald...
A win against Deo
Volente meant critical points and much needed revenge
for last season's cup exit to the Holy Ones. Two league wins have steadied,
what still appears to be quite a leaky boat. Bracegirdle announced the arrival
of experienced AM D. Engine from FC Inferno. Just the sort of
top division experience which will be needed this season to bring on
Excelsior's less than scintillating youth.
This week sees cup action against IQ. Not
long ago Excelsior were standing shoulder to shoulder
with IQ in division 1. For this match they will be praying for a smash and grab
point. Oh how times have changed...
Fanatics United
Well I
think I am going for the cup.... rofl hope I win this
one.
We´ll rest
this week. We need to focus in the league.
Last week we barely got off with a win but a win is a
win and three points are three points so we are happy. Our team did not have more EMP or a better GK
than the other team so I guess we just got very lucky, which we won't complain
about. We are not in that great of a
place in Division Two right now- tied for fourth place- but it is only the
beginning of the season so we will have to wait and see what comes out of
it. The good thing is we are only three
points out of first place if you look at it that way. This week is a cup week though, so it does
not really matter much whether or not we win.
If we do, that is fine but we are playing our second string, because we
are focusing on the league and need our best eleven rested, so we are not
expecting to win but you never know what can happen.
DIVISION 3
Nothing to
get excited about!
SB: Another
cup game this week. Going to keep taking
it easy?
DT: 3 weeks ago I mentioned that we weren't
interested in the cup this year. This
game is no exception. ES can take it
easy and still win.
SB: The first week you almost won doesn't that
give you some confidence.
DT: Sure it gives us confidence but cup games are
cup games. We are just going to
concentrate on the league this year.
SB: Looking ahead to next week. How many starting players will actually be
playing today?
DT: Only one of them. All are being rested except for our new
signing.
SB: Speaking of which, it is good to see a decent quality
goalie minding the net.
DT: Still not of the highest standard I would
like but it is a step in the right direction.
SB: Good luck David.
DT: Thanks Steph.
African Selection
This week
sees the Selects taking on the second First Division team in group 5. In the
first match of the Cup, the Selects were able to score a victory against AP and they
hope to do it again against The Jazz. Group 5 is an interesting Group as the
two Division 1 teams both lost the first matches. If The Dead Scientists and
the Selects win this week, it would knock both of the Div 1 teams out of the
Cup!!!!
This past
week saw the Selects score a three goal victory against AV on three shots! I
don't think the Selects have had this type of marksmanship in a long, long
time!!!!!
There was
also a big trade this past week with the Selects. There has not been much
action on this front over the last few seasons, and so it is nice to see the
Selects making a concerted effort to get out of the Third Division. I have
heard through the grapevine there may be a couple of more trades coming up! How
Exciting!

After resting up
our top players last week we will try and see if we can get a result in the cup

depth in his squad and it will be an uphill battle.

ANOTHER TOUGH CUP GAME AHEAD. THE COACH HAS IDENTIFIED SOME TIRED
PLAYERS AND HAS GIVEN THEM A REST. WITH A RESULT HAS GIVEN SOME NEW EXCITING
PLAYERS A PLATFORM TO SHOW WHAT THEY MADE OF
Stannington Historical
Despite SH's 3 win - no loss
start to the season, SH Manager Len Lear feels that still anything can happen."Our squad is going great at the moment but it
takes just one thing to happen and a great start can vanish just as quick. The
Speedsters were in fine form against us in our most recent match and if it
hadn't been for the great play of S. Tained our
'keeper we would have had
one in the loss column. My hat goes off to the Speedsters. They
are a very good and dangerous team. SS should be playoff bound at the end of
the season and it will be a nightmare for the team that has to play them.
D-3 is
turning out in the early going to be quite a battle. This why SH is taking no chances. With matches in the next three or four weeks
against the two teams tied with us, FE and SG, SH is going to take a different
approach with our Cup matches. Lear stated," SH has to make sure that our
top stars such as Garcia and Morales and Jayden are
well-rested so they will not see any cup action unless necessary. Our aim as
previously stated is to win D-3 and SH is not going to leave any stones
unturned.
