PRESS REPORT

Adirondak Renegades

. Adirondak Press (AP): Another win. Something like 6 in a row. Getting pretty boring?

Manager Fulmer (MF): Sure, real boring.

AP: There is a cure for that. In fact, you'll get it this week by playing FI.

MF: We beat FI earlier in the season.

AP: And you were lucky. Very lucky.

MF: And your point is?

AP: I realize AR will stay in Division 1, and has no chance for the title, so do the games mean anything to you?

MF: I play against Marco, Mark, Nathan for the last time, and then end the season against my buddy Bart, and you ask me if the matches mean anything. Hey Peter, can I buy 4 grudges?

One more time trying to keep some pressure on TB, but they are doing a very nice job so far (unfortunately...)

A win is a win.  And I'm not really complaining, but you'd like to think that a 20 point EMP advantage would translate to more than one point.

Although, it's much better than a 20 point EMP advantage translating to a

3 point loss!!  Hamm deomonstrated the star that she is by getting off 2 shots and managing to put one of them home!  Curiously, her only help came from the back as Pope made a run and created a numbers up advantage that Hamm could exploit.  The defense once again makes Keller look good by not letting anyone get into a shooting position.  Of course they were bunkered down so that might be expected.

That leaves the rest of the season, that doesn't mean much.  We aren't going to make progress against the top 2 but we don't want to be knocked any farther down.  So this week's 3 points are greatly appreciated as they give us a little wiggle room.  Of course, the eternal question remains?

Since there's not much to game when to use the remaining boosts and grudges???

Not that we are actually going to avoid relegation, but it is nice to win at least a couple of times a season, and this was our second win for the season, I believe.  That obviously is not too good, but we've accepted our fate for this season, and whatever happens happens.  With that being said, winning is still pretty nice, so maybe we will be able to do the unthinkable, and win two games in row!  But, then again, if we don't win this week, it won't be the end of the world by any means -- it really won't change our ultimate outcome any.

Wow! A couple of weeks ago we could not imagine we would be standing right here now, at the 3rd spot and with some (still slim) hope of automatic promotion. This a decisive game against FU and we will play for our chances!

Bad break last week, but the Selects aim to bounce back this week with a visit to the Speedsters.

Look for Mongu to be speedy up front and for the back line to put up a lot of speed bumps against the Speedsters as the season winds down.
